Description
This is the analog game me and my teammates created also known as Hexarun, it was done by a team of six. The team consist are Irwan Shah the team leader, Choo Housin, Terry Ong, Mohd Syafiq, Jonathon Chia and myself all of which are students from Republic Polytechnic of Singapore.
The game was initially our project for one of the modules in Republic Polytechnic known as Analog Game Theory. We were asked to mimic the idea of a digital game known as Canabalt. We remodelled the idea of the digital game into an analog game. As time went by, we took away the limitations of the digital game such as changing it from a single player game from the digital game to a two player game. This game will be suited for player’s age ten and above. The aim of the game is to reach the end point and players would have to face against each other and the game itself where obstacles lay ahead of the players.
The game Hexarun has transformed so vastly that it has completely separated itself from the original digital game. Thus, it’s now a game of its own and everything about this game, from the rules to the mechanics to even the design of the game is done the team alone.
